i thinkabig part of solving this is changing american attitudes toward money. it’s still quite taboo to openly discuss what kind of pay and benefits you get, so oftentimes the only person aware thatawoman doing the same work as her male counterpart is making less is the one writing the paychecks. obviously we know there’s stillapay disparity in the abstract, but very few people know if it applies to their situation or not. we need to push management to be less biased, and we need to have more open discussion about the subject onagranular, small picture, indvidual instances kind of level.
