This Joey Just Popped Out Of Her Mother's Pouch And Is So Excited To Be Here

    Yaasssss!

In what could possibly be the cutest thing you've ever seen, a female Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby joey has started peeking her head out from her mother's pouch at Sydney's Taronga Zoo. Look at how happy she is!

The joey is five months old and keepers say she will likely spend another month inside the pouch before she starts to venture out to explore the world.

This joey is one of two Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies to emerge in the past week. Another female, Ruby, is also carrying a joey - Yay!

The zoo is working with the Office of Environment and Heritage on a coordinated program to help the recovery of the Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby species and both these joeys show the success of the program.

    But seriously though...

... she is so excited to see us all, and we're even more excited to see her.
