This 8-Year-Old With Cerebral Palsy Completing His First Triathlon Is Truly Inspiring

Bailey, who has cerebral palsy, completed a 100 metre lake swim, a 4,000 metre bike ride, and a 1,300 metre run as part of the Castle Howard Triathlon in North Yorkshire. But it was the last 20 metres of the race where this little champion really made his mark.

According to theYorkshire Post, hundreds of people stayed behind to watch Bailey finish the race, clapping and roaring their encouragement as he stepped away from his walking frame to get over the finish line unaided.

With the finish well and truly in sight, Bailey lets go of his frame and begins heading for that line...

...not letting a few stumbles slow him down.

    Look at his determination.

The BBC Look North (Yorkshire) Facebook page has been flooded with messages for Bailey, as well as people sharing their own stories and experiences.

Bailey, you're incredible and an inspiration. :)
