I’ve been talking to that voice inside of me, Asking why it comes down so hard Though I act out in ways that are humanly I try to keep the chakra open in my heart And I shouldn’t keep telling myself That no one will comprehend my art, These anecdotes put to music notes My lessons learned about wisdom and war Because we all go through the same things Someone out there understands my grief Someone out there has shared my relief Someone out there is just like me And I may call it a different name, But by definition, it’s the same damn thing Acting out as human I am Entitled to make my own mistakes I’m telling you this is not made up or fiction I speak out with only good intentions Of spreading the knowledge that I’ve received Instead of lying to myself and whoever hears me Because if I could be there for you, Say all the things that you want to And my honesty is not taken in vain It would heal the wounds I can’t explain So many grow scared to bare it all to you They want to imitate what they think they should do But if I come to you with my heart and a key Would you take the time to judge me?
