I have a general guideline to not bother with any more remakes. If everyone decides to not bother with watching movies they know will be lousy (like 99.99999% of all remakes, movies based on video games, etc) then eventually they'll stop churning out the remakes for remake sake.

I remember a Star Trek parody which was really popular in my college days. I think it was called Star Trek: The Next Penetration. This looks like a different cast.

If you have cats you will learn to love being a bottom roller, or find a long trail of toilet paper through the house. Cats are kind of like 2 year olds in that respect.

Maybe she could explain the Matrix trilogy, or the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels or Transformers. I watched those & still didn't understand them.
