I always think book ads are a really weird concept. I can’t think of any way to get the word out without ads other than word of mouth, but it still strikes me as one of the more bizarre branches of advertising. Yeah, I’m not inclined to give the book a chance either. It’s not like this was a fan-made video - it’s posted on the official website for the book. So if this is what they think is acceptable, it says a lot about the quality of their decision-making in general.
