You know, I learned when I was a teenager that most behind the camera commentary is often annoying when re-viewed after. When filming whatever, even this, silence is golden, you don't need to scream “OMG” a hojillion times to the displeasure of whomever views it after.

One should mention that staring at your phone while you should be staring at the road, and staring at the road intently while you should be staring at the road are different things. So yes, filming while driving is better than texting and driving.

Like John W said below, you should probably switch it with the updated video, The cops told him to film everything, it also has footage of after the crash and slowed down bits.

Earlier today, I saw someone recording this other car driving while he was driving. He was completely distracted.
