The iPad Was Predicited In 1994

Back in 1994, this video titled The Tablet Newspaper: A Vision of the Future was released. It talked about the development of a device where you could “download the paper every morning” and “interact with information,” amongst other things. Essentially, the iPad before the iPad. Why does this scare me? (via)

  • People, the iPad is nothing new. Please, for the love of god, stop pretending it's a breakthrough technology. Tablets have been around for over a decade before the iPad was ever introduced. This was actually not predicting a technology of today, but working toward getting the newspaper industry ready for an emergent tech at that time (and they still screwed it up…).
