Vegan hatred fallows the bill o’reilly parable. The loudest person in the room is always the one that is heard, illregardless of being right or wrong. Sadly for nice Vegans the Vegans with the loudest voice are those movement hurting, self rightous extremist types without a understanding of personal boundries and equal rights to all.  I’m no Vegan, but I understand both sides… don’t like them, but understand them. While I don’t agree with the Vegan way I respect a persons right to live their life how they see fit. The room mate if she has those views sadly should have chosen a different room mate. Both room mates views should be respected not just one over the other. If they continue to remain room mates, the letter writter needs to air her beliefs in person not on paper and work out something with her room mate, perhaps seperate sections of the fridge, or if it can be afforded a 2nd fridge and a schedule set for both of them to cook their meals so neither one is subjected to the others food.  “personal beliefs are like a penis…. it’s great to have them, and it’s fine to be proud of it… just don’t whip it out and shove it down peoples throats”

I understand her/him point of view, but I don’t understand why he/she search for a non vegetarian roommate if this hurts her/him feelings so much!

if I had a roommate who left me this note I would assume that I was living with someone who was clinically insane.

This belongs on passive aggressive notes if it isn’t already.

Yeah, you’re right. Vegans get a bad rap because people think all vegans are nutty extremists, right? Ya know, it is the same reason anyone with any belief gets a bad rap. There are some psycho extremists that believe one thing, so everyone who believes that MUST be psychotic. Being judgmental is cool.

There is no moral argument against veganism.

Such stupid logic. Why should the roommate be forced in the room to eat? Shouldnt everyone have the right to eat outside of their room in their own apartment? Yes, Ill go ahead and give that to you. SHE should go in HER room when her roommate wants to eat. Completely stupid. She needs to get over herself, no one has ever converted to anything by passive aggressiveness or bossy attitudes. Why she thinks she can change the lifestyle of someone else through a poorly written letter is beyond me.

I turned my previously vegan brother in law this weekend. Marinated short ribs did the trick.

Shoot her- gut her- marinate her- baste her- then eat her.

My rebuttal would be.  Dear roommate,  Guess it’s a bad time to tell you I’m having a BBQ next week…

I first saw this on passiveagressivenotes.com. This is just someone who is new to veganism and thinks everyone needs to live that way. I’ve known vegans and vegetarians who are not obnoxious like that at all. I bust their chops and they bust mine but it’s all civil.  Of course if I was that roommate I would have gone down to the chinese market and gotten a chicken to freshkill at home. That kind of note is just begging for some kind of sophmoric response.

I hate hypocrites, doesn’t matter if it’s Religion or Vegans. if you are a hypocrite then I have no respect to you. It’s ok if it was a slip or 2 (we are humans after all) but if it’s an occasionally (with no effort to change) and yet still pushing your lifestyle. Then F*** you! I’m looking at you PETA.
