North Korea Photoshops Kim Jong-Il’s Funeral Pictures
For what seems like no real reason at all, the Korean Central News Agency photoshopped pictures of Kim Jong-Il’s funeral to remove a rogue camera crew who slightly set off the funeral’s perfect image. Unfortunately, North Korea doesn’t really know how to use a cloning brush.

ekatsim a year ago90% of the famous political pictures use photoshop to enhance certain details or downplay others. The point of it usually is to draw focus on the main aspect of the picture, but with North Korea it’s being used to show unrealistic perfection. North Korea wants to look good to the rest of the world. Everything there is trash, but they work hard to present themselves to everyone else as a perfect, independent nation. Completely controlled media, no communication with the outside world, and a leader who has managed to delude an entire country = you do the math.

SitaSky a year agoI also think the amount of Photoshop isn’t too egregious but just the idea that they felt the need to make it look better. I mean seriously, do they want everyone to think he had the “perfect” funeral? who will look at this image and think “Now, that’s a funeral!”? It actually looks boring for what they could’ve done.
