MIT Unveils Uncontrolled Oil Cleaning Robot

MIT has unveiled the Seaswarm, an autonomous, oil-cleaning robot. The robots group together (hence the “swarm”) using WiFi and GPS to clean an affected area. Had the technology been available, 5000-10,000 of these robots could have presumably cleaned up the Gulf spill in a month. Below is a video detailing how the robots work. More here. posted on
