That building is the Burj Khalifa, tallest building in the world (By a fuck ton I might add), and that is actually Cruise swinging like a maniac off the top of it.

Reasons to have faith that it will be an above-crap level action flick: Brad Bird is directing and its his first live-action film after Iron Giant, Incredibles, and Ratatouille. He has a history of not working with shitty scripts. Simon Pegg. Sawyer @ 1:03 and also flying off that building @ 1:16. Jeremy Renner is rad. Say what you will about Abrams, but his production company hasn't produced a true stinker just yet. Many of the stunts and action sequences are practical.

The only thing good about this film is Simon Pegg. Now, if they could find a way to insert insanely violent townsfolk and zombies to the film…

I actually did not much care for the 3rd one even though many saw it as quite the redeemer. They forgot all about his girlfriend that he saved from the 2nd (which also wasn't terribly great in the end it felt like), but I will say that I actually like the looks of this one. Maybe it's because JJ Abrahams production house is behind it, or it's got Simon Peg actually looking serious and firing a gun, who knows, but even though they seem to have yet again dumped all the events of the previous ones and how they implicated and affected his life, this one does look like it has some promise.

Still like the first one best.

Should be noted that it's directed by Brad 'The Incredibles/Ratatoulie' Bird. Therefore, it may be sick.

Formulaic, predictable Hollywood action flick. I'll probably watch it anyway…via torrent.

Based on that teaser I would say that Simon Peggs character turns out to be the bad guy.
