“Jersey Shore” Has Finally Been Cancelled
The nightmare is over, folks.
According to EW:
The sixth and final edition of the show recently wrapped production and will debut Thursday, Oct. 4, with the crew back in Seaside Heights for one last party. The network is also airing a retrospective Jersey Shore special titled “Gym, Tan, Look Back” that will include a first look at the final season.
Before filming began, the cast was informed this might be the show’s final season, but they were not officially told the news until this morning.
The overall sense has been that, creatively, the show has run its course.

Thankfully during the lifespan of Jersey Shore, we didn’t get like 4 international spin-offs of the show (and Snooki/JWoww + Pauly D Project), Toddlers & Tiaras, Honey Boo Boo Child, aliens on the History channel, a dozen shows for each member of the Kardashian clan, Bridalplasty, Bachelor Pad, Finding Bigfoot, I Love Money, Rock of Love: Charm School, Daisy of Love, Charm School with Ricki Lake, Megan Wants a Millionaire (cancelled as one of the contestants PROBABLY MURDERED HIS WIFE), Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, The Bachelorette (and Bachelor for that matter, FIND THAT ONE IN A MILLION LOVER from these 10 predetermined candidates), Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp, The Real Housewives, Mob Wives, Dance Moms, Duck Dynasty, Swamp People ETC. BUT WHO CARES, ONE DOWN, EVERYTHING ELSE ON TV TO GO.

benjaminc5 8 months agoWord is they cancelled it because the cast salary demands were too insane for another season. I want to believe they cancelled it because of everything else. If they cast the show like The Real World, it probably could have ran forever.

Lolhelper 8 months agoI’ve never watched this atrocity, but the internetz has taught me that it was a bad, a really bad thing. A true brain killer, and now it’s over! Can we have a beer all around the world to commemorate this moment, please? I worry about Snooki, though… Now that she had her mini guido, she will need more money for drinks and diapers. Please don’t let her have another lame reality show!!

MrSwearword 8 months agoIt only took them 6 seasons too long, but the sin has begun the process of being absolved. Now all TV execs responsible for this must either admit they did wrong. Wishful thinking, but goddamn this had taken too long. On a positive note; THAT GODDAMN MESS HAS BEEN VANQUISHED!
