I'm with Matthew- I distinctly remember learning all this Boolean stuff in HS and I still use it almost daily in most any internet search.

iirc the “xy” doesnt always search for the exact phrase. dont know why, but i guess whenever google is unable to come up with enough results it also adds results that dont include the exact phrase. also, whoever used advanced search at least once in his life should already know those little tricks… oh, wait. common sense is a superpower nowadays.

it's not just google, it's pretty much every database ever. you should have learned this in highschool
