wwwtf is the point?!
wwwtf is the point?!
Uh, is it just me or… where’s the article? o__0
H-h-how does that contraption work? o__o
LOL @ #2 & #17. And #27 warms m’heart!! :)
But still, what is that pic of? Is it just Photoshopped then?
I would not have expected to match up so well with so many of these. :P
fyi *next month, not next week. Auction ends whenever it ends, but it implies the tickets are for October 25th. But anyway, this is GREAT!!
#18 is now colloquially referred to as a “wrap” and they’re super yummy. :b
I wasn’t sure about this one at first either, but it seems to me that the artist’s point was simply to: (1) Remove that mask-neck-outfit connecting cloth so she could actually get in the damn costume without everyone and their mother having to help out. (2) Put her hair back so she could actually fight. (3) Make the breathable and comfortable switch from latex to a cotton-polyester blend that’s form-fitting yet stretchy and not prone to sweat-related infections. (4) Yeah, absolutely, make her heels flats so she could run for days on end without sleep if that’s what the job called for. (5) Cut back on the emphasis on her big tits and tiny waist since they have absolutely nothing to do with her fighting abilities and to make her more akin to the “normal” or “real” modern-day woman.
Thank you!! Beautifully said. <3
Actually, no. No I wouldn’t. What I’d say you’re trying to suppress is individuality. What you’re implying is there are only 2 possibilities — either men in the comic industry design useless (or at least HIGHLY impractical) superheroine outfits just to exploit the female form, or men in the comic industry design “appropriate” (practical??) outfits which conceal the female form. Whereas in reality, comic designers are diverse, and so are women, and so are female superheroes — far from the dichotomy you set up. It’s totally fine — and beautiful! — for a woman to feel sexy and empowered, no matter what she’s wearing (whether it’s from the left column or the right or somewhere in between or neither), but when that’s ALL we can be to be worthy to YOU (to society), THAT’S where we’re gonna have a problem here.
I can’t believe people are actually bashing the redesigns! I understand if you prefer the original costumes — your brain is naturally attuned to its first impressions, and anything deviating from that can make your precious little head hurt. I understand if you think the drawings aren’t as good-looking as the more realistic CG renderings — though I do wonder if anyone would give a rat’s ass about the heels of Superman’s boots if we were to redesign his cape to be a little shorter (i.e., more practical for actual street justice). But to claim that only a radical feminist would be “crazy” enough to prefer these awesome concepts? Take the Superheroine Challenge and see how much ass you’ll be kicking with a squeeze-tight tube top, high-rise panties, and 6-inch thigh-high boots on! My bet is you’ll probably only manage to kick your own ass when you faceplant 3 steps from your front door. The fact of the matter is, these heroes are simply redesigned for real life: they’ve got their hair cut shorter or tied back so they can actually see, their head gear cut way back so they can actually move, and their outfits reformed so they allow actual erratic movement. The fact that the latter designs feature more “real lady” features as opposed to the modelesque bone structure, curvature, and proportions seen in the originals is just icing on the cake — why can’t we represent real women while we’re trying to represent real heroes?!
She had BETTER not get a harsher sentence than he did. That they’re even prosecuting her while so many VIOLENT gang rapists are running free infuriates me!!
I personally think this story is beautiful and begging to be told, but I don’t feel like it’s the photographer’s right to make that decision. His subject, in this case his brother, really needs to get on board before I could get on board.
I feel like several greats weren’t mentioned and some more obscure “leading” men were mentioned for the sake of obscurity, but overall a GREAT beginning to the type of dialogue Hollywood NEEDS to see!!!
I was all about Nelly circa 2004 but, regardless, nothing sounds better than a cozy, intimate pool kickback with Donald Glover!!
I was all kinds of on board until #16. Most of the rest sounds like a must-try though!
Other than being cheesy and looking way too young for me, I’m all about #24. =3
Didn’t everyone already know this? o__0 They fuck up and give you the uncooked hard ones all the time…
I remember in HIGH SCHOOL, in AP BIOLOGY nonetheless, there was a rumor going around that it was “national makeout week.” We were talking about it in lab, and my lab partner put her two cents in, saying “Ew, why would you risk getting pregnant just to make out with some boy at school?” Her parents had told her you could get pregnant from merely kissing… and she believed them… at 15… at a medical magnet.
No, Matt Ortile — YOU’RE wrong!!! lol
So #13 is Crossroads?
Anyone know where #13 is from?
Half of these are DISGUSTING (bacon taco, pickle rolls), but half are AMAZING (cake batter shake, lobster mac ‘n cheese).
