Republicans and their ideaology; so anti-progress. No matter how much good this healthcare act can do for Americans, no matter how much evidence there is from the rest of the developed world that socialized medicine works, it’s still bad in the eyes of conservatives because it puts something else in the control of the government. Here’s a reality check, socialized healthcare works! Much the same as socialized public education, fire departments, police departments, etc all work. Healthcare should not be based on a for-profit, capitalist system. As is evidenced from other sectors, (namely, banking) greed takes hold, the market does not regulate itself, and the American disadvantaged, poor, and middle class have been suffering for decades under our current, failed, healthcare system. This is progress towards the better, conservatives, don’t be scared of it. All of you already have health insurance, and will continue to keep it voluntarily come 2014.

It’s not socialized medicine, at all. Not even a little bit. Remember, the government is forcing people to purchase insurance from private, for profit insurance companies.  IF there was a public option, or better yet single payer, THEN you could say it was socialized medicine. Not now.
