The World’s First TV Commercial

It was for Bulova watches, from 1941, It was 10 seconds long, and it is just static shot of a watch over a U.S. map. But, if you need to see it, because you’re a cat or something, here it is.

The first television advertisement was broadcast in the United States at 2:29 p.m. on July 1, 1941. NBC affiliate WNBT aired this 10 second spot before a baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies.
