Here's the best of Brit ad wit from the last 40 years.

2006. Love Saint Wayne or hate him, this was an absolutely stunning billboard for Nike, and for all of England. Ad agency: Wieden & Kennedy London.

2001/2002. Club 18-30 was Club Med, except exponentially sleazier. The best ads draw the reader in, and then keep him/her there. The Economist "white out of red" posters of the last 25 years are legendary amongst ad creatives. I picked out just a few of my favorites. The above 2004 billboard with light sensor did exactly what is portrayed. The magazine's long-time ad agency is Abbott Mead Vickers/BBDO.
