The spot was just named Spec (speculative) ad of the year by the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP).
It is a masterfully produced ad, directed by Paul Santana.
The four home scenarios are all so different, but all end with a painful yet hilarious crotch shot.
“Protect Yourself” indeed.
I must point out, though, that this is not an original idea.
Check out a very real ad from 2003 for Zazoo condoms via Belgium, below. It is as inelegant as the above video is artistic. But both work equally well, I think.
