Welcome to Philly! August is jam-packed with events for Jewish young professionals, so let us give you a taste of our tight-knit Jewish community. Whether you're looking for a casual after-work drink or a hoppin' weekday party, you're sure to find something at one of these events...

1. Happy Hour @ PHS Pop-Up Garden (The Collaborative)

August is the perfect time for a little outdoor drinking! Join the new Collaborative team for happy hour on August 7th, starting at 6:30PM at the PHS Pop-Up Garden. Brownie points to anyone who brings a friend to their first ever Collaborative event.

2. Drink or Swim @ North Shore Beach Club (Spectrum Philly)

Mixer for LGBTQ Jewish folks in Philly on August 11th from 6pm - 2am, Spectrum Philly will have a cabana and presence from 7pm-10pm. General admission is $10, but mention Spectrum Philly and get in for $8. Heated pool, $5 Jameson & Absolute's all night, with DJ JavaScript spinning your favorite jams.

3. Quizo Night @ Field House (Grad Network & Moishe House Philly & Minyan Tikvah)

If you are a trivia buff and have a talent for useless knowledge, join Grad Network, Moishe House Philly, and Minyan Tikvah for a Quizo! We'll be at Field House on August 12th from 7pm - 9pm. Challange other grad students and young professionals in the battle of the brains and maybe you can be our grad prize winner!

4. Concert in the Park @ Rittenhouse Square (The Collaborative)

Bring a blanket and come join us for PW's annual free concert series in Rittenhouse Square on August 13th! The concert doesn't start until 6pm, but we will be there at 5:30pm to scope out the best spot for everyone. We're pumped to listen to this year's line up of emerging artists in today's music scene. And what's the best part about it? IT'S FREE! Please let us know if you are planning on attending so we can find a large enough space for everyone!

5. A Midsummer's Eve Celebrating Life, Love, and Tu B'Av @ NMAJH (Young Friends of the NMJAH)

On Thursday, August 14 from 7pm - 10pm, we'll be partying at the National Museum of American Jewish History a summer fete in celebration of Tu B'Av, the Jewish holiday of love. Guests are encouraged to wear white in the tradition of the holiday. Young Friends events are tailored especially for the young professional community, ages 21 - 40. Make sure you get tickets in advance!

6. Rafting @ The Poconos (AEPi Alumni)

Join AEPi alumni and other Jewish young professionals from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for Rafting in the Poconos, Dorney Park & WildWater Kingdom, Pool Parties, Volleyball and discussions and speakers on Israel and the global Jewish community. For Jewish Young Professionals (Age 21-30) at Whitewater Rafting Adventures. From Friday, August 15th to Sunday, August 17th.

7. Hookah Hang Out @ Omar's Hookah Cafe (The Collaborative)

We've secured the upstairs room and the private roof deck of Omar's on August 18th for a swanky night of unwinding over a couple of hookahs! We'll be serving light snacks, desserts, and drinks. Even if you're not into hookah, we'll have free rein over couches, pool tables, and a jukebox. Feel free to bring your friends!

8. Roll into Philly Sushi Dinner @ Yellowtail (The Collaborative)

New to the city? Roll into the Philly scene with an intimate sushi dinner. This isn’t anything fishy! We’re bringing together a bunch of new Philadelphians on August 19th from 7PM – 9PM at Yellowtail and we’d love to see you there. Come join us at Penn's Landing on August 21st from 8pm-10pm with a blanket for the screening of everyone's new favorite Disney movie! Let us know if you are planning on coming.
