cocoboy 2 years agowhat an idiot. I like click and clack, but I don’t want my tax dollars going to keep them on the air. If their product is that good, let advertising dollars keep them afloat. This guy is an embarrassment to New York

Conor H. 2 years agoAdvertisers can negotiate content and distribution. NPR uses underwriters, which have no say on either. The free market is no friend of the truth.

Denis R. 2 years agoYou completely missed the point… by a parsec. The point was that the GOP waived the rules of the house, and called an EMERGENCY SESSION to “defund” NPR, a purely partisan move which is clear retaliation for the fact that NPR has one or two liberal shows (in addition to a number of conservative shows; but for a conservative, having one liberal show means that the entire network is liberal). What Emergency??? As much of an emergency as that which led 3 senators to pass a bill to “save” Terry Schiavo in the middle of the night? The GOP does not care about jobs, the economy or the middle class. They certainly don’t give a damn about middle America. All they care about is gays, guns and greenbacks.

Pablarberblah 2 years agoYou’ve got a point about the advertising dollars. But, insulting Weiner for mocking the GOP’s hypocrisy is lame. We need more statesmen (on both sides of the aisle) calling out these lobbbyist-pandering politicians. As a NYer, I’m damn proud that Weiner is one of us.
