Loving hugs, tender touches, heartfelt prayers, and no fears to let the tears flow on the pitch creates an athletic culture where male players strip themselves of socially constructed definitions of manhood, stereotypes, and stigmas. In male soccer, there is freedom for men to just be human and enjoy pure bliss after scoring a hard earned goal. This makes soccer a very progressive sport and extremely liberating to watch. Plus the hugs make you want to jump in the huddle and join in on the fun!
