Erm…yea, as already stated, this is less about theatre lovers and more about musical theatre lovers, which is a fine genre to be in. But you missed the feeling you get when you are sitting in a packed theatre watching words become magic…or actually anything about the art of theatre. Instead you want to deprecate the moment when your costume designer brings in something s/he finds from SalVo because his/her budget for costuming The Music Man is $500 for a cast of 20 people, and not only does s/he find what s/he needs, s/he comes in under budget because s/he knows how to do his/her job. Side note: not sure what a “wardrobe staff” is, but lets just put that phrase away along with “stage hand”, please…because as someone who has worked as a wardrobe supervisor/dresser and carpenter or stage technician, it rankles. These “staff” and “hand” phrases make it seem like we are your servants, and we so totally are not…cause without us, you “performers” would just be naked people emoting on a dark empty stage.
