How Do Energy Companies Expect People To Reach Their Meters?

We asked people on Facebook and Twitter to share pictures of their awkwardly placed prepayment meters.

Can't reach your meter? Try standing on a chair...

@CitizensAdvice #tweetyourmeter No one can reach ours without standing on a chair.

Hope no-one comes through the door while you're up there.

    Try a ladder maybe?

    No, definitely a chair.

#tweetyourmeter Here is my really cleverly placed meter. I need to stand on a chair to reach it. Wxm N.Wales.

You might need an extendable arm too.

@CitizensAdvice Mine is on the ceiling! #tweetyourmeter

This calls for a hedge trimmer.

    It's under there somewhere. #tweetyourmeter @CitizensAdvice

You could play hide-and-seek with your meter.

You might need to call the locksmith.

@CitizensAdvice 12 meters locked in a cupboard 52 in all 6 floors cup is over 20m away from flats #tweetyourmeter

Call the energy company - oh wait, they won't read it either.

It's even harder for people with disabilities.

If you can't reach your meter, call your supplier. They are obliged to re-site it if it's in an awkward place.
