New Orleans was invaded by by some of the country's gnarliest facial hair yesterday, and it pretty much ruled.

This guy went safari with it.

This guy got straight to the point.

Some of them were extremely dapper.

Some of them were not extremely dapper.

There were curls.

And some naked chins.

The occasional faker.

And this one guy who likes dead things.

This militant fellow was pretty cool.

So was this fashionable cowboy.

There were smokers.

And happy sleepers.

The lights were bright, the competition fierce.

Some were declared better than others.

But really, everybody won!
