What happens when you corner a drunk rock star after the Grammys? Hilarity ensures, of course.
The paparazzi caught Black Keys drummer (and recent winner of four shiny Grammy awards) Patrick Carney outside of his hotel and bombarded him with a bunch of random questions. While Carney handled most of them with the loose humor of a person who just spent a great deal of his day trekking back and forth from a seat to an awards podium (When asked, "What was your favorite part of the [Grammy] awards?" Carney quipped, "It being done, I guess."), he fumbled a bit when asked about Justin Bieber, of all things. You might even call it a diss.
So what DID Carney say?
Paparazzo: "Do you think that Justin Bieber should have been nominated for anything?...Some people are saying he got snubbed by the Grammys..."
Carney: "Justin Bieber? He's rich right? Grammys are for, like, music and not for money, and he's making a lot of money. He should be happy I guess."
Snap! Naturally, Bieber was not happy when he saw the clip...
Maybe Bieber was still upset over his Grammy snub? Recall that his last album "Believe," while successfully transitioning the child star to an adult one, failed to receive any nominations this year.
Neither were Bieber's fans...
On attack mode, Bieber's fans took to Patrick Carney's twitter to let him know how they felt about his off-handed comments. Some of it wasn't too nice.
Cool as ever, Carney seems to be taking all the Twitter haterade in stride.
