What’s so surprising? Honestly? A bunch of people don’t know about a particular religion, so what? It’s like everyone here is expecting everyone else to be aware of this holiday just because it’s Jewish. No one seems to care about non-Muslims who can’t name a single Muslim holiday, Christians who aren’t aware of neo-Pagan holidays, or even Protestants who don’t get Ash Wednesday. Newsflash!: We don’t live in a world full of cultured college grads! The world is full of idiots with Twitter feeds, as evidenced by the ethnocentric comments here.
