Susan Sarandon’s Advice To #OccupyWallStreet

Actress and humanitarian Susan Sarandon stopped by Liberty Plaza this morning to tell demonstrators to focus. Here are some choice excerpts from her talk.

“Your weakness is that there are so many issues. You’re gonna be easy to be dismissed if you don’t concentrate on a single cause.”

“in your meetings, maybe it’s a good thing to try to figure out what that [focus] would be.”

“You don’t want the face of your movement to look like discontented people that don’t know what they’re talking about.”

“You have to make your message clear… your plan doable.”

“Campaign finance reform is one thing. And yes, they’re all inter-related.”

“You’re at a tipping point. You have people’s attention. Now you need to build on that.”

“I’ll be back next week.”
