For some time now, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been teased at "over 600 horsepower", and just recently, figures were released, and it is officially the MOST POWERFUL MUSCLE CAR EVER PRODUCED at 707hp and 650 lb-ft of torque! This car surpasses even the Lamborghini Aventador in terms of raw power. It must truly be seen and heard to be believed.

The 2014 Mustang GT500? 662hp, not quite there.

Camaro ZL1? 580hp, not even close.

    Last-gen Corvette ZR1? 638hp, pretty good, but 69 shy.

Current Z06? 650hp and 650lb-ft of torque, so even in torque, not in horses.

Current Viper? 640hp. Good, but still can't do it.

This car has more power than the freakin' Dodge Viper! Power comes from a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 mated to either an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission, or a six-speed manual. It's gonna need some beefy tires and a really good suspension to handle all those ponies, but chances are, that won't even be an issue. The car will come with two keys, similar to the Boss 302 Mustang. The red key unlocks all the power in the car, whereas the black valet key limits it to a less-extreme 500hp and an unconfirmed amount of torque. More than likely though, the red key will get plenty more action than the black.

Pricing isn't announced yet, but this car will not come cheap. The Challenger, though staying the most faithful to its original 1970s design, has been maligned for its large size in the past, weighing the most out of its main competition, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, though all this power should certainly make up for its weight. Check out the video to see it in action. The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is expected to hit dealer showrooms sometime around the 3rd quarter of the year.
