Brian- These are obviously honeybees. The woman should have called a beekeeper when she first noticed the problem. Africanized bees are no different from any other. The honey you buy in the store IS NOT inspected and lisenced, much of it is imported “honey” of dubious quality. Honey from feral bees is much desired as it doesn't contain the pesticides commercial beekeepers use in their hives. Paint chips cannot get into honeycomb.
