can i demand a higher tax on the super wealthy, the closings of corporate tax loopholes and the end of unnecessary subsidies? You could call it a raise in household income. Oh wait I can't demand that because I don't have a super-pac nor hundreds of millions of dollars to buy my interests…
more like the Pillsbury (R) buy our other products bible. Where's the 7 layer bean dip, the sliders, the buffalo wings, nachos, salsa, guacamole, actual pigs in a blanket, chili or dip for chips? All of this crap is overly bready bs that will fail to satisfy proper party goers.
at 0:24 zebra has a “that's right” look on its face.
dumb, dumber and dumbest not dumb, more dumb and most dumb. That was the most smart thing I've thought of today.
one correction, I guess Governor Gilmore proposed the split and it was subsequently approved by the legislature.
Growing up in Virginia it was “Lee, Jackson, King Day”. Meaning Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson and MLK. Obviously people didn't take too kindly to that, so the geniuses in the legislature split it up, so now Friday is “Lee, Jackson Day” and Monday is “MLK Jr. Day”. Problem solved right? RIGHT?!
just because you have a job doesn't mean you can support OWS. Also Zuccotti Park is privately owned public space so taxpayers didn't really pay for it, though i wonder if Bloomberg's ties to the property instigated the raid. In other news, the New York Lawyer's Guild has just gotten a restraining order to allow protesters back into the park to gather their things. And Just Here, it's buzzfeed, feel free to post your own stories elaborating your stories. I haven't heard any stories of rape or overdosing, I have heard about two suicides and another shooting in Oakland. As for the other things in your comment, some didn't make much sense other just seem to be general bashing without naming the particular city. Don't know why everyone is so angry that they are protesting and not working, unemployment is still at 9%. If anything it's less competition for you if they protest longer! Otherwise the “get a job” and “bums” comments just come off like you support the status quo of income inequality and don't mind that the majority of income for jobs is basically stagnant while the top 10%, even more so the 1%, income has skyrocketed, citing: http://www.economist.com/blogs/dailychart/2011/10/income-inequality-america
Is it so bad to demand that more people share in the success and maybe that the autoworker on the line get paid a little more as opposed to the insane bonuses the CEO routinely receives?
Disclaimer: I'm not a supporter of unbridled, laissez-faire capitalism, I believe it allows the few to accumulate power and wealth over the many and I think it is very successful at it. I think regulation and a societal mindset should counter the inherent greed in any capitalist economy.
You what's beer for everyone? Good beer, such as any mircobrew, especially those found in Colorado (any really, its a pretty amazing beer state), Oregon (Deschutes), California (Stone or Pizza Port my preferences there), Delaware (Dogfish Head is fucking awesome). So there beer for everyone to enjoy and it tastes so good you won't even care if someone's nursing it for half the night! It'll still taste good for them and it's more for you!
