The simple way to put it is called east coast/west coast marketing. Not too far off topic… A lot of the knock off brands that we buy today are the same thing in every store, just different labeling. Not every major grocery store chain is making their own product, they are buying it from 1 company and then have THEIR label slapped on to it.
