I think Kurt needed to put a little more Jack Burton into his performance.  And wow… That early script was Episode 1 bad. Somehow I doubt we'd be debating the greater cultural legacy of Star Wars if he shot the dialogue they performed there as written.

Alderaan was originally called Organa Major? Kudos to whatever person in the process chucked (most of) George Lucas' pre-adolescent random sci-fi name generator place and character names.

I can see why he didn't get the part, he's a good actor but he took the role of Han Solo a little too seriously. Harrison Ford played the part perfectly for that's the type of character you expect, mischievous at times, a person just trying to make a buck, and your reluctant hero.

ok, kurt russell trying out for the role of han solo is one thing, but who knew fred savage auditioned for obi-wan?
