This is probably the last console generation. In five to seven years streaming games might be the wave of the future. No more consoles, aside from a little box and controllers, all hooked up to the a streaming game service. However, for this to happen, internet speeds in the USA in particular, and world wide will have to have some amazing breakthrough. Otherwise the latency generally is too great to play anything really awesome. But I think in ten years everything should be online by then, or perhaps computing power will have gotten so advanced that the cost of a box that can do photo realistic CGI will be $100 bucks. We already have cell phones that have more processing power than the current gen systems, so imagine how far we will progress in ten years?
