I'm so sick of bratty arrogant little kids who think they have a right to everything. While they probably should have just thrown him into the arms of the police at the next station. I can't help feeling this kid got entirely what he deserved.

They train should have gone ahead and left, and then the train personnel could have called ahead and made sure that the police were waiting at the next stop to meet the guy. Vigilante justice may make some people feel good, but it's ultimately not the best way to go.

I feel like I have to clarify something here: not having a ticket, or not being able to afford a ticket, doesn't have to mean being thrown off the train. I'm from Scotland, and there have been a couple of times when I didn't have money for a ticket, but I was upfront about it; the inspector took some details and I paid for the ticket at the station the next day. There was no need for this guy's attitude. And as for you, russells4, I take it you're an Englishman, in which case, I also take it you'll do us both a favour and vote 'yes' to Scotland's independence. I'm tired of subsidising wee neds that try to dodge ticket fares, and I'm tired of subsidising you.

God, Scots are cunts. If I was a passenger I would have been more annoyed with the conductor and his “I can sit here all night pal, I'm getting paid for this” shit. I'd be annoyed about the journey being held up as a paying passenger, not the fact that somebody hasn't paid for a ticket. Surely there are procedures for this situation? But yeah, make it a macho competition and scare children by being violent.

Although I do not support being a bum and trying to get a “free ride” … Literally lol, you don't know what the kids story is and throwing him off the train especially having a passenger who has no authority to do it is BS I don't know train prices much less Scottish ones but it's sad when someone sooner jumps up to throw him off then to offer to pay for him… The only decent person was the lady who said no need for the violence kudos to her.
