Year-Long Exposure Of Toronto
Photographer Michael Chrisman used a pinhole camera fitted with photosensitive paper to make a 365-day exposure of the Toronto skyline from Jan. 1, 2011, to Dec. 31, 2011. The result is astonishing. Full story over at the thestar.com.

Austin Found a year agoSorry, I didn’t mean to post twice, there was a glitch: So, put-a-bird-on-it, hear me out: Say we start at noon on Jan 1st and we end at noon on Dec 31st. Then there are 24 hours missing from the year. But say we start at midnight on Jan 1st and we end on Dec 31st at the last possible minute, 11:59. Then we are one minute short of a complete year. That’s the least amount of lost time you can have with the two dates given. One complete year should get you back to the same time and date you started at, but one year later. Also, cool picture!

put-a-bird-on-it a year agoTo correct you, Austin Found, a complete year would be just that. A “complete year”, which would be January 1st through December 31st. To add January 1, 2012 would make it a year and a day.

Austin Found a year agoHe should have gone one more day for a complete year. January 1st through December 31st means he was 24 hours short of a complete year. Oh well, better luck next time.
