A previous post pointed out that the fox was taken in because it has some nearological problem. The fox appears to be pleased to see the person it is classically submitting it self. it looks in good health also.

my dog does that all the time. the poor little fox just wants attention. plus foxes always make a really annoying high pitch noise. so nothing to worry about there.

Eek. That fox isn’t right. It was both deliriously excited and absolutely terrified.

Reminds me of the fox who lives in my backyard, Kitt Garfunkle. He doesn’t have fits but he is SUCH a spaz. I love him, though. (And no, I do not feed or pet him, he us 100% wild but likes putting on shows on my porch at 2 am).

First thought: high as a mug.

I think Fennecs make a similar sound when they’re excited to see people. -Though I’d watch out, foxes are naturally vicious.
The ones that were bred to be tame by the Russians over 40-something years did not look like this. They were smaller and gray with floppy ears and irregular coats.

At first I was like :-D but then I was like :”-( when I realized she has nuerological damage thats making her have fits like that.

Its wagging tail makes me think the fox is happy. But it’s body language makes me think it is scared.  Am confuzzed…

Noone else thinks its cruel keeping a fox in such a tiny caged area?

Before anybody makes a comment that he sounds like he’s in pain or is scared, the fox has neurological problems and arrived at the shelter that way, which is why he flops around a bit like that.
