I knew this was coming when I saw that you had selected “old”. Here's a suggestion for you, BurnRed / BookFaked / Whatever: Start your own website, and stay there. You've posted thirty-three new items in the last 24 hours. You're the Buzzfeed equivalent of the person who always posts “FIRST!” in comments threads. And for what? To get credit? Does that external validation make it okay that you snark on other people's efforts and act like there's a conspiracy against you? I've been on Buzzfeed for several years longer than you, but you've submitted more than 1000 times the number of posts I've published. You're at 7,520… I'm still at 6. Instead of clamouring for applause, I come here to encourage other people and converse about opinions… and that's exactly the difference between the real “community” and you. Clearly, you need attention. You're so desperate for it that you're petty and mean-spirited when other people get front-paged instead of you. Your own personal *honour system* doesn't extend too far, though - most of your posts are lifted straight from Colossal, Reddit, MyModernMet and elsewhere. Half the time, you don't even bother to change the caption. You don't actually discover these things yourself, but you still want the credit for having posted them here first. I've been biting my tongue about this for months, but I can't stay silent any longer. None of the REAL Buzzfeed community can even hope to compete with the pathological rate at which you publish “new” (i.e. recycled) items. So either STFU with your “FIRST!” and “OLD!” sniping, or GTFO and start your own community. You can be the king of the castle! Just don't be surprised if your stack of turtles comes tumbling down and you end up sitting neck-deep in mud.
