On Saturday, May 15th, twenty-three of NYC’s best-known industrial designers came together for a one night only event: the MunNY exhibit. Held at the Ace Hotel’s Liberty Hall, this exhibit challenged each designer to create a unique interpretation of KidRobot’s iconic MUNNY figure. This site documents both the evening and each designer’s studio & influences through a 360 degree experience centering on MUNNY. Take a spin through each designer’s studio, filled with the things that inspires them and their own work. View videos and photos of their unique points of view. Then explore each designers’ interpretation of MUNNY, including 360 degree and 3D photography, designer statements and downloads. Best of all, each MUNNY is being auctioned on eBay to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation. Designers include: Vladimir Kagan, Karim Rashid, David Weeks, Joe Doucet, Stephen Burks, Marc Thorpe, Brad Ascalon, Matthew Bradshaw & Sergio Silva, Rich Brilliant Willing, Richard Shemtov, Marcus Tremonto, Manuel Saez, Dror Benshetrit, Lindsey Adelman, Harry Allen, Tobias Wong & Various Projects, Josee LePage, Sebastian Errazuriz, Todd Bracher, Jeffrey Bernett, Jason Miller, Jeff Miller, & Frederick McSwain.
