Dr. Kathy Denker (C) was a recipient of the 2013 Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, and Gender (OSCLG) Feminist Teacher-Mentor Award. Smashing the glass ceiling? We'd say so.

4. We love our undergrads.

We offer majors in public communication, interpersonal communication, and organizational communication, as well as a minor in communication studies. Before graduation, students will develop a senior portfolio as well as have opportunities to participate in internships in a wide range of fields. Check out those happy faces!

5. And we love our grad students.

We offer master's degree programs in Communication Liberal Arts and Sciences, as well as Organizational and Professional Communication and Development. Our master's students have the opportunity to receive graduate assistantships, participate in graduate internships, and conduct their own research. Have no fear, we'll getcha ready for the real world.

6. Our students are pretty involved.

Undergrads have the opportunity to join the National Communication Association's Student Club (COMM Club), as well as their honor society, Lambda Pi Eta. Talk about prestige...literally!

We also have a nationally ranked Speech Team...

The Ball State Speech Team has won the State tournament 8 out of the last 9 years, and is currently ranked 7th in the nation. Werq! (Don't they look fabulous?)

and a ballin' Debate Team.
