Your explanation for the German word “schwul” is wrong. There are indeed some theories suggesting that it derives from the German word for warm, hot etc. HOWEVER, it is NOT related to any Dutch word. The word “schwul” does not exist in Dutch (although everybody will understand what you mean because of the close relationship between the countries). I think you misread the wiki entry where it says that its origins lie in “Niederdeutsch”. But that does not say Niederlande (aka the German word for the Netherlands) or Dutch. Please do better research before you post (wrong) information.
