21 Reasons You'll Want To Watch "I'll Be Home For Christmas" This Holiday

We don't care if it's cheesy — Jonathan Taylor Thomas is in it.

I'll Be Home for Christmas, you know, that classic '90s Disney movie you probably watched as a kid, is just about the most lovable film.

    1. It features our favorite '90s heartthrob, Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

    2. The main characters Allie (Jessica Biel) and Jake (JTT) give us relationship goals that could make just about any couple envious.

    3. And there are so many crazy romantic gestures that make us all want to call JTT our own.

Fake snow in Southern California? Every girl's dream.

    4. There's a strong female lead who is not afraid to tell it how it is.

    5. And then there's the douchebag character, Eddie, who we all secretly kind of love.

    6. There's even a loving family, who just wants to see their only son home on Christmas.

    7. There's this:

    8. And there's drama. Everybody loves drama.

    9. There's suspense. Like, where is Jake???

Jake is in the middle of the desert. That's where he is.

    10. There's a fun road trip and classic road trip music.

    11. There's an epic hitchhiking journey.

    Points for creativity.

    12. And don't forget that there's the world's cutest elf, Nolan aka Snowpuff.

    13. There are good deeds being done left and right.

    14. And then, there are some real tearjerker scenes, like the moment when little Esteban freaking shatters our heart into a bajillion little pieces.

    15. Or the moment when Jake helps the cop, Max, get his wife, Marjorie, back with a touching song.

    16. You know what, there's even a little gore.

    17. Some of the most unforgettable parts, however, are the teachable moments.

Like the moment Jake realizes it is not OK to lie to Allie about why he wants to go home. Or the moment he learns that having a superglued Santa hat ripped off his head is nothing less than excruciating.

    18. There's an underlying message: Never give up.

A 5K Santa Run that could pay for your trip home could be just around the corner. Don't give up!

    19. There are highly relatable moments and sibling humor.

    20. And, just to reiterate, there's a charming hunk, going though hell and back to win his girl back and get home.

I mean he's hanging on car roofs, stealing sleighs, doing all sorts of naughty things, just to see his family and get the girl (oh, and get that Porsche).

    21. But the very best part of this movie is that there's a happy ending... and you can't help but feel like you walk away with undeniable Christmas spirit.

    JTT, we love you.
