Some mornings, when your alarm goes off, you just can’t bear the thought of climbing out of your warm cozy bed.
No matter how many times you hit the snooze button, you just can’t wake up
You finally drag yourself out of bed to get some caffeine in your system
But some mornings, there isn’t enough coffee in the world to get you going
And all you can think about is falling back into bed at the end of the day
And figuring out what in your closet qualifies as “business casual” before your first cup of coffee kicks in is nearly impossible.
Your coworkers understand the misery of putting on your uniform, even though the only thing you want to put on is pajamas
By the time noon rolls around, you’re fighting the urge to curl up under your desk for a nap
You don’t even have the energy to get up and eat
So instead you just rest your weary head in your hands and watch the minutes crawl by, day dreaming about your sweatpants
You perk up when you notice your boss leaving early
And when she says you and your coworkers can leave too, you make a mad dash for the door
You rush home, back to the warm embrace of your cozy bed
So snuggle up and sleep, because you’ve got to do it all over again tomorrow
