I'm alone, which is rare. And I put on my new record that we, my band, SO SADLY FUCKED just released and spent 3 years working on. Haven't listened to it since it was finished a few months back but I got to tell you, I love it. Fuck... I can't believe how hurt I was. And in comparison how much happier I am now...

With this record, I wanted to tell you the story about how I fucked up the most important thing in my life. And I wanted it to fucking rock and sound like Elliott Smith was singing again. I want to sound like Heatmiser, Hazel, Pond. I'm from Portland and the 90's. I wanted it to bring Elliott back to life. You know? But now I want it to make a very brave and charming young women be well again and free from what is currently hurting her.

I want all this pain and all this love I've been trying to give to you for so long to mean something. And I want it to save her life. My dear friend has 3 tumors in her brain. But I know if we all concentrate really hard together, we can make them go away. OK? Just some good thoughts is all I'm asking, call it prayers if you like but I'm sending a healing ray from my brain. I'm asking if you wouldn't mind giving it a try for my friend.

If you listen to our record, her voice is the first you'll hear on the album. I'm so proud of both my bandmates for helping make this album. Just know that all these songs are true, they we're made for you, we tried our best. And yes... They are total "fuck yous" to real people in my life. But I tried to sing the "fuck yous" as sweetly as I could. And we tried to make it fucking rock.
