What I find infuriating is that we make a woman’s breast so damn taboo. Who cares!?!? Her song “Human Nature” is all about defying the rules, the critics, society’s made-up notions of what is acceptable and what is not (much of which is based on centuries of vilifying women.) She did this and turned and showed her back painted with “No Fear” … and in a nation where women are still oppressed. It was a political statement, sure. But who gives a crap about her breasts being shown on-stage at one of her shows? What is so harmful about a woman’s natural body?
