Aside from the Back To The Future trilogy, Michael has worked continuously throughout the years, appearing in movies like The Secret of My Success and Doc Hollywood. As well as guest starring in television shows, and even his own series, Spin City.

Michael also got into voice acting; he voiced Chance in Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (and its sequel), the titular character in Stuart Little (and its two sequels), and Milo Thatch in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

In 1998, Michael went public with the news that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and since then has become a highly visible advocate for more research, even setting up the Michael J Fox Foundation, to help fund it.

Today, Michael is currently working on his new NBC sitcom, The Michael J Fox Show, in which he plays a man dealing with the challenges of Parkinson's disease, all while trying to balance his family life and his career as a news anchor.

Then: Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown)

Doc Brown was the eccentric, sometimes absent-minded, law breaking (he did agree to build a bomb for Libyan terrorists), inventor of the time machine.

Before starring in the Back to the Future trilogy, Christopher was well known for his Emmy winning role on Taxi, as Jim Ignatowski. His other best-known movie roles include Uncle Fester in The Addams Family (and its sequel), and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Christopher recently appeared in an episode of Psych and according to IMDb has three projects in pre-production.

Then: Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines-McFly)

In the 1990s Lea went on to star in her own NBC sitcom, Caroline in the City, today she is currently starring on ABC Family’s Switched at Birth.

Then: Crispin Glover (George McFly)

Marty's spineless and nerdy dad.

Crispin’s had a varied career, not only is he a writer and director, but also a recording artist. His most recent high-profile movie roles were in 2010’s Alice in Wonderland and Hot Tub Time Machine.

Then: Thomas F. Wilson (Biff Tannen)

The bully who harasses George and also almost rapes Lorraine.

Although Thomas is best known for playing Biff in the Back to the Future trilogy, he also had a memorable role as Coach Ben Fredricks on Freaks and Geeks. He currently works primarily in voiceover acting, along with doing stand-up around the country.

Then: Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker)

Marty's girlfriend; who's parents are totally cool with her spending the weekend camping alone with.

Now:

Claudia took a break from acting after Back to the Future. She currently owns a men's clothing store in Studio City, CA.

In 2012, she attended The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' outdoor screening of film and was reunited with actress Elsa Raven (who played the small, but memorable role, of the lady trying to save the clock tower).

Then: James Tolkan (Mr. Strickland)

Mr. Strickland was the strict, disciplinarian principal at Hill Valley High School, who had an irrational hate towards Marty.

James continues to act, appearing most recently in this year's HBO biopic Phil Spector.

Then: Wendie Jo Sperber (Linda McFly)

Marty's total middle child, older sister who is having boy trouble.

Prior to Back to the Future, Wendy was best known for her role in television series, Bosom Buddies. She continued acting throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s.

In 1997, Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer, which seemed to go into remission following treatment.

In 2001, she founded weSPARK Cancer Support Center, a support group for cancer patients and their families. Each year, the organization put on a benefit show called weSPARKLE to raise funds. The benefit was attended by many of her friends and colleagues, including Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, John Ritter, and Eric McCormack.

In 2002, the cancer reappeared and spread throughout her body, and by mid 2004 it had reached Stage 4. Sadly, Wendy lost her battle with cancer on November 29, 2005.

Then: Marc McClure (Dave McFly)

The eldest child of George and Lorraine, he originally works at Burger King, but in the alternate 1985, works in an office.

Now:

Marc is actually best known for his role in 1978’ Superman, playing Jimmy Olsen. According to IMDb his most recent film was 2012’s Hercules Saves Christmas.
