8 Reasons Beer Is Better Than Wine

Beer is great with food and much cheaper than wine. Let's get people away from the view that it's a drink only worthy of sporting events and frat parties.

Sure, wineries have some cool names too, but mostly they're just in indecipherable foreign languages. Why does French look so different than it sounds? Defiant, Lost Abbey, and Victory all have any winery names beat and that doesn't even scratch the surface.

3. Cooler glassware.

Yes, wine glasses can be beautiful. But, beer glasses can have things (usually a brewery logo) printed on them, have handles, be durable, and still be a great beer glass. Good wine glasses are too fragile and have to follow certain guidelines to be good.

4. Pizza.

It's not pizza and wine. It's pizza and beer. Can you have wine with pizza? Sure, you're still free to make that bad decision in this country. But, really, should you?

5. Beer Boots

Wine has no equivalent thing. A huge container full of delicious liquids that requires knowledge to drink quickly without spilling all over yourself? Yes, please.

A great bottle of beer can easily run into the twenty dollar range with rare examples ranging into the hundreds. A great bottle of wine can easily run into the hundred dollar range with a large number of examples ranging into the thousands.

While I would argue that any single bottle is a single serving, my liver would likely disagree. Most beers are packaged in single serving bottles between 10 and 25 ounces. Wine is generally in 750 ml bottles. You can find half bottles, but it's harder and you'll pay more per ml.
