just so you can get your facts straight i thought I would post some good reading for you. regarding alcohol http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/foo_alc_con-food-alcohol-consumption-current America is number 20 in the list of countries who consume the most alcohol. Netherlands is number 15 just to point that out. regarding fast food http://content.onlinejacc.org/cgi/content/full/42/4/773 China has one of the fastest growing obesity porblems and fastest growing amount of fast food restaurants. Yes they came from America, but fast food restaurants are common around the entire world not just America. regarding guns http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate America is 8th on the list of gun related deaths per country. Though, yes, among first world nations it is number one, we are not the only country with gun problems. regarding war…well I’d provide a link, but there is too much info to even cover. War is not unique to America, in case you didn’t know. Wars and conquests have been going on since the beginning of time. Israel and Palestine, North and South Korea, the sino-japanese wars, and we can’t forget Hitler and the Holocaust now can we? and as far as greed/corruption goes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_in_India Just take India for example, which its politicians all work off bribes. I have a friend from India who personally attests to the massive government greed and corruption. I know this is a long response, and I am not trying to say your opinion is stupid or invalid. America’s government is not perfect. We are obsessed with guns and greasy food. We’ve started wars and been in wars that we had no rightful place in. And maybe we all do enjoy a good drink at the bar after a hard day’s work. But what you seem to forget, and so does everyone else, is that America isn’t perfect and neither is any other country. Every country has its problems, and if you look at lists like this that pick out every small instance of what everyone likes to portray as “America” then your an ignorant fool. Come over and visit sometime, and find out what America is really all about

I guess I must have completely forgotten about the massive tourism industry in Netherlands, silly me…Oh wait http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Tourism_rankings
Netherlands isn’t on the list, and whats this! America is second! If you really believe that tourism is linked with alcohol consumption then your only helping strengthen my argument so thank you. I don’t even see why the amount of alcohol a country consumes is somehow a negative indication of the country, but I was humoring you in the first place anyway. Secondly, fast food in other countries is the result of profitable American companies who have thrived in our free market society. Not a pure free market (I’ll make this distinction because I’m sure in ur arsenal of stereotypical America bashing comebacks, you will call me out on it). They seem to be pretty succesful in countries around the world so it seems as though other countries enjoy fast food as much as Americans do.  Well our country was founded by a revolution in which we took over control of our own nation by repelling the British. The Netherlands was similarly founded by gaining independence from Spain during the 80 Years War. Yes, America has been involved in many wars over the years, but so has most of Europe and Asia. Please do point out the time in history when America wiped out close to 6 million Jews, or commited massive genocide of millions of people killed under communist regime, or raped and murdered 20-80,000 women in Nanking, or killed millions of muslims, sikhs, and hindus near the partition of India, or killed 800,000 people in Rwanda, and I can go on but I hope you get my point. Other countries have killed, raped, and enslaved more people than America ever has so get your damn facts straight before you spew the same bullshit that everyone else says. America may have not always had the best motivations in going to war (such as oil, money, and territories) but without our country stepping in in WW2, your country would still be run by Nazis right now, so you’re welcome.  Our government isn’t perfect, but it sure ain’t as fucked up as you might like to believe. Our citizens own guns, but we have the power to change government through free election and popular opinion. We don’t go ape shit and start a violent revolution on a whim for no god damn good reason. Go take a look at all the modern inventions and conveniences that were invented in America. We wouldn’t even be having this conversation without the development of personal computers in America. I have no problem with your country. I personally would love to travel and visit the Netherlands. I don’t think America is better than any other country in the world. I do believe though that we are among the greatest nations in the world. I don’t know why you are so bitter toward America, and I would even venture to guess that you’ve never even been to America. So maybe you should think twice before you spew hateful BS.

You seem to forget that many tourist come to Amsterdam to over-indulge. So your argument regarding alcohol is invalid.  Fast food in other countries is the result of America’s corporate greed. China has nothing to do with this.  The fact that you cling to your guns and relish war just shows that since the founding of your country nothing has changed. You still enslave or kill those that do not agree with your policies. This emboldens your greed. For so many Americans to sit idle with weapons while not forcing social change and revolution in your country is ridiculous. You are as much of the problem as you are the solution. You should hang your head low because ultimately it is the American people who decide policy in their country.
