The Gryffindor house emphasizes the traits of courage as well as “daring, nerve, and chivalry,” and thus its members are generally regarded as brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness. They can also be short-tempered.

Jack Shepard

There’s no question Jack is brave, he is often too quick to run off into the jungle, often leading to massive consequences for his friends. And no one can say he is not short tempered

James "Sawyer" Ford

While he may have started off as cunning and selfish, he ultimately proved himself to be brave and undeniably loving. Despite his being a natural loner, he kept many of his friends alive through his daring and nerve.

Jin’s courageous, daring attitude is what caused Sun (and us), to fall in love with him

Unbelievably rash, Michael focused on the goal of getting his son back, no matter the cost or danger to himself or others.

HUFFLEPUFFS

Hufflepuffs are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. It may be that due to their values, they are not as competitive as the other houses, or are more modest about their accomplishments.

Hugo "Hurley" Reyes

Everybody’s best friend who never took a side if he didn’t have to, Hurley’s Hufflepuff like attributes are exactly what led to his success as a fair leader

Before you judge this placement, think about it. Every step of Sayid’s life is motivated by love, and the desire to protect those he loves – Nadia, Shannon, his fellow islanders (what motivated his off-island killing spree again?). Even his final act is to protect his friends, the motivations of a true Hufflepuff.

Claire’s desires always came second to those of her baby. And she had a pretty strong loyalty to her "friend" the monster.

Charlie was loyal and protective in regards to his fellow islanders, particularly Claire. When he finds out he needs to die for her to be safe, he goes to his death with pride and dignity.

An intelligent, thoughtful doctor, she adapted to island life in the pursuit of learning ANY possible means of escape.

His psychic abilities, witty Scottish sensibility, and forethought make him a natural Ravenclaw

Ultimately this quiet, intelligent, "special" boy would follow his mentor (Locke) into Ravenclaw

Probably the most intelligent character on the show, the Losties wouldn’t have made it far without his brains

This tragic psychiatrist used her skills and intellect to help her fellow islanders find peace during her short time on the island.

Slytherin

Slytherins tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation. This means that Slytherins tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done.

Kate Austen

One of the sneakier survivors of Oceanic 815, Kate put self-preservation to at the forefront of her concern. She was cunning, and while often acting rashly, thought things through far more than her fellow islanders, especially after becoming a mother.

Ben Linus

He’s Ben Linus. He let his daughter die to protect the island and slaughtered hundreds of scientists in power grab.

Miles Straume

Ultimately this ghost whisperer was out for himself. He even dug up diamonds out of Nikki and Paolo’s grave.

Shannon Rutherford

This beauty used her looks and sexuality to manipulate those around her.

Eloise Hawking

This ambitious former leader used her knowledge of the space-time continuum to influence others to keep on their “necessary” paths – even at the cost of her son’s life. With her, the end always justified the means

Jacob

Jacob never wavered in his protection of the island – the master puppeteer brought everyone to the island, and didn’t tell them why or show his face til it was almost too late.

Jacob's Brother

Pretty much the manifestation of evil and bitter, he manipulated, killed, and tortured the survivors in the pursuit of his goal.
