Brary 2 years agowhy is this “cute”, but 7 year old girls dancing (at a dance competition) to all the single ladies is “trashy”? is there a fine line here i’m not seeing? because especially with the half naked women around her, this is pretty inappropriate, too…

sam 2 years agoSure, the adult dancers around her do this, but it’s in complete contrast to the kid’s lack of being “sexed up” and the contrast is what makes it kind of funny. The kid isn’t put in the place of the adult (which is what was creepy about the 7-year-olds in Single Ladies— they were children dressed as and dancing “sexily” like adults). Rather the adult situation is morphed into a childish one, with the bubbles and the play phones and all that. (The handcuffs are a little weird, though…)
